Editor’s Note
The audio quality of these episodes… well, sucks. There’s just no way around it. If you can’t handle the sound, please skip ahead a few episodes, where our quality gets significantly better. We appreciate you taking the time to listen to our back catalogue from when we were rookies crowded around bad mics, but we totally understand if you can’t handle the quality issues.

About
Van takes on hosting duties for the first time, and he does it the only way he knows how: by talking about ALF. See, Van has been fascinated by this hairy puppet for years, primed to discuss it and its creators at length. This week is just a toe in the water, though, as the trio talks about ALF’s foray into horse race gambling.
While ALF may not be able to meet anyone in person because he’s a hideous alien, he finds a way to place bets over the phone, eventually becoming indebted to a sickly bookie named Nick the Fish. The Tanner family tries to help by holding a sad garage sale, while the Boob Tube Boys try to figure out why patriarch Willie owns a hockey stick.
Van ends the episode by answering a few questions about ALF, his dream come true.
Highlights
-Van gets to say ALF’s given name into a microphone, while Spencer gets to express his disdain for credit sequences
-Everyone struggles to get over the extremity of ALF’s appearance
-Brian professes his love for David Leisure and, in turn, Nick the Fish

About
ALF may have gotten his family into trouble by betting on horse races, but that doesn’t mean he can’t make the Tanners rich by working the stock market. Or maybe it does mean that. Van will set Brian and Spencer straight on the matter as the group wonders how they wound up with consecutive financially-centered ALF episodes.
After netting some money using what he claims is a very complicated market approach, ALF begins to consider himself quite an expert. The Boob Tube Boys talk about what it was like to use a computer before the new millennium, Little Boy Brian’s ineptitude, and Willie airing his grievances.
Van describes the toll making this dumb sitcom took on its cast, but all the sad stuff is buffered with Gordon Shumway’s dulcet tones.
Highlights
-The BTBs debate ALF’s effectiveness on the stock market
-Grisly behind-the-scenes stories from the awful set of ALF
-ALF becomes a popular recording artist in Germany
