About
Everyone has their guilty pleasures, or at least entertainments that might be categorized as such. For Van, one such pleasure is the plot-filled medical drama House. In many ways, it’s a natural fit. Not only does Van know how many bones are in the human body, but acquaintances have even compared the BTB host to House’s titular sourpuss.
“Three Stories” was a landmark episode in the House run, notable for both its pun (which evokes the House horror film’s sequel) and revealing the origin of Gregory House’s limp. House winds up lecturing some medical students and decides to bare his soul through a series of doctor tales, stopping only to occasionally berate a young, hopeful person.
Brian wonders if Carmen Electra was still a big deal by the mid-aughts, while Spencer finds the episode’s made-up farmer character most interesting. Van reveals that he has not seen the final season of House, having been priced out of the market (another house joke).
Highlights
-All three BTBs passionately defend snakes
-Plenty of very real medical jargon
-Van looks into his crystal ball, mentioning that he’d like to cover Baywatch someday

About
One House was not enough House, so the Boob Tube Boys return to talk about a rather controversial episode of the network series. So controversial, in fact, that “Last Resort” was briefly removed from NBC Universal’s Peacock streaming service shortly after the Tubers recorded their episode covering it.
A sick man has entered the hospital looking for care. There isn’t anything unusual about that, but the guy also happens to wield a gun, and he’s taken the whole place hostage until the very best doctor around can diagnose him. Unsurprisingly, that best doctor is Greg House. Van summarizes the troubling events of this off-the-wall episode as best he can, while Brian and Spencer ponder the merits of turning hospital dramas into cop dramas.
Van recaps his thoughts on House and fields questions on the series. Spencer selects the podcast’s next TV show, veering into unexplored and animated territory.
Highlights
-Another future topic, E.R., gets brought up as the gang asks a serious question: Dr. Clooney or Dr. House?
-The inevitable House vs. Scrubs conversation
-The death wishes of Evan Peters and 13 (which is a character’s name)
