Miami Connection is a true cult favorite now, but its road to that status was long and winding. Spencer tells the tale of Y.K. Kim’s ninja/rock band/orphan movie, why Miami Connection sat on the shelf so long, and how an eBay purchase changed the film’s fortunes forever.
This week, the ninja band Dragon Sound has earned a new gig at the local club, but the band they usurped and a rival ninja biker gang are not pleased. Tensions are obvious right away, but Dragon Sound are too busy attending the University of Central Florida to notice.
The MPMs end this episode with one of Miami Connection’s most memorable scenes, the one that establishes Jim as the emotional heart of the movie.
